This Christmas, celebrate "The Town That Saved Christmas". Learn the story of how World War II, creative engineering, and fast-thinking business leaders helped Wellsboro, Pennsylvania become known as "The Town That Saved Christmas" and Corning Glass to become America's leading glass Christmas ornament supplier. This is a weekend meant to celebrate Christmas. To start your day, we will welcome you with a cup of hot cocoa and holiday dessert at the historic Penn Wells, where you will see their famous flag that was designed and constructed by the Wellsboro Division of Corning Glass Works in 1946 to honor its returning World War II veterans. While in town, you will paint your own Christmas bulb ornament to take home with you, learn how to decorate your own Christmas bulb sugar cookies, enjoy a tasting of Tioga County products, kick up your heels in a private line dance class - all before finishing your evening with a barbecue dinner hosted by Rookie Cooks Academy. And we won't let you leave until we give you your own Christmas gift with heartfelt wishes for a Very Merry Christmas!

Departing Lancaster we travel to Mifflinburg, PA to visit the oldest Christmas Market in the United States, the Mifflinburg Christkindl Market has been bringing the tradition of the German Market to Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania every December for more than 30 years https://www.oldchristkindl.com. Lunch is on your own. Before arriving at our hotel, we have a guided tour at Highland Chocolates Factory, where a goodie bag of chocolate is included https://www.highlandchocolates.org. Checking into our hotel for the next two nights at the Penn Wells Lodge, located on Main Street in Wellsboro, all attractions are walkable from this prime location. A gift bag will be waiting for you in your room. You will have time to freshen up before dinner in the Mary Wells Dining room at the Penn Wells Hotel. Enjoy a hot buffet breakfast before we begin our day. If you choose you may join the group for a 1-hour guided walking tour of Wellsboro. Learn the history of this stunning Northern, Pennsylvania town. A must for our groups in Wellsboro, Ole Covered Wagon Tours provides our own private Horse Drawn Wagon Ride traveling through the heart of the historic downtown of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. Enjoy a hot buffet breakfast as we begin our day. Departing Wellsboro, we will make a brief visit to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Hopefully, you will see the beauty of the Canyon with some snow-covered trees. There is no better way to end this Christmas tour in Wellsboro. Now that you know the connection between Wellsboro, Shiny Bright Christmas Bulbs, and Corning Glass a self-guided tour of Corning Glass Museum, is a must before departing for home.
